Crown Plaza Hotel in Pleasanton

Last week, I had stayed Crown Plaza Pleasanton and this is the review.

First, hotel staff was not trained well for 3 star hotel. Lobby and ground floor dining looks gorgeous, but everything else is outdated. Room is ok, but you must be disappointed if you expect 3 star hotel average. Bed has a good back support which is good, but bed linens are somewhat average. Hotel seems to try convince the guests that they are experiencing luxuriness by placing a piece of Ghiladelli chocolate, small lavender mist spray bottle, eye mask, better than average soaps and shampoos. Alarm clock is Sony’s CD clock radio along with Sleep CD.
With all efforts, it still lacks the power to overcome the creaking sounds every time the guest open the door and whenever open/close the closet door. The room has no individual climate control and comes with wall mount air conditionar you often see at the 2 or 2.5 star hotel. TV set is average with average channel selections.
One of the most disappointments is excersize room which is very outdated and very small space for 6 story big hotel. Jacuzzi pool was out of order for another week which I couldn’t understand why it takes so long to fix.
The room service meal was surprisingly better than expected from the all of the above. We ordered Ahi Tuna burger and Seafood linguine in a different day, both were good portion and taste. The pictures below are Seafood Linguine and Green Salad (sorry again for poor quality of picture).

High Speed Internet (Wireless) is complimentary and I had a good reception (maybe because room was 2nd floor).
It is also good that refrigerator was available for a small fee ($15 per stay) which Marriott group doesn’t charge.
Overall, this is good hotel in a good (not best) location with 2.5 star quality room and 3 star dining.
